Personal Training

Working with a trainer is one of the fastest and most successful ways to improve your fitness. This individualized attention from Sarah, a professionally-certified trainer, will help you custom design a program so you can make the lifestyle and physical changes that may be difficult to achieve on your own.

Exercise programs are designed for all populations, including children, pregnant women, and the elderly. Services are also provided for athletes from all types of sports backgrounds as well as individuals looking to lose weight or increase muscle tone.

Fitness Center Orientations

Fitness Center orientations are free for new members! Sign up for one of three timeslots to see what different machines are available in the Fitness Center and how to use them properly!

 

Free Fitness Assessments!

Now through October 31, free assessments are available to both members and non-members for free! Assessments include blood pressure testing, dietary analysis, muscle endurance assessment, and more. Appointments are available daily.

The Trainer

Sarah Nelson is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness. She obtained certification this year after the completion of her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Michigan Tech, where she focused much of her studies and undergraduate research in fitness, body image, and physiological psychology.

Sarah is currently working with ACT to create a new accreditation for personal trainers by offering evening online courses. She is also pursuing additional accreditation as an Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist through the American Council on Exercise, and plans on pursuing a Doctorate in Human Factors Psychology in 2010.
