If you are 18 or older and enjoy ski racing, or just want to improve your skills, come to Mont Ripley on Wednesday nights and join the fun. Or, try boarder-cross or skier-cross racing on Thursdays.

Ski Racing: The Adult Ski Racing Legue meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m., beginning in mid-January, and alternates between GS, slalom and SuperG. Teams compete for the fastest times — but being a serious racer is not required.

League t-shirts are handed out at the season-end banquet. 

Dates: January 20 - March 10, 2010

Cost: $60 per person for an eight-race season

Teams: minimum of three skiers; must include at least one woman

Age: Must be 18 or older

Boarder-Cross and Skier-Cross Racing

It is the latest in ski and snowboard fun — the excitement and fast-action fun of cross racing. Race down Danny Boy in heats with three-five other racers. The top two from each heat advance until a final heat determines the top finishers for the night. Skiers and boarders race separately. 

Dates: January 24 - March 13, 2009

Cost: $50 per racer for an eight-race season (weekly cost: $7.50/night and get a special race lift ticket). 

Age: Must be 18 or older
